Randy Childress
Senior Minister Randy has served as the Senior Minister of Kempsville Church of Christ since January 12, 1987. At that time the church was averaging 150 in worship attendance. In the last few years, Kempsville has gone through a growth spurt and is now averaging nearly 600.
His education comes from University of Virginia, Wise (Biology) with Bible and Ministry courses from the Grundy Bible Institute. He has published articles in the Restoration Herald, the Christian Standard and in the local newspaper, the Virginian Pilot. He is a past director with the Virginia Evangelizing Fellowship and has served churches in Elizabethton, Tennessee; Grundy, Richlands and Virginia Beach, Virginia. "My emphasis in ministry here at Kempsville has been two fold: (1) Expository preaching from the Word of God and (2) Team based ministries. I think both of them have helped Kempsville to become a solid, Bible based church. It's wonderful to have so many partners in ministry." Josh Childress
Associate Minister Josh has received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biblical Studies at Atlanta Christian College in Atlanta, Georgia (www.acc.edu). He has served in the Public Relations Department at ACC prior to serving at First Christian Church in Carrollton, GA. He currently resides in Great Bridge with his lovely wife Wendy and three children, Caleb, Tannah and Isaac. Josh has a passion for rising up families in the church to love, worship and serve the Lord together, challenging the family to complete surrender in their relationship with Jesus Christ and with each other. He desires to create an atmosphere at Kempsville where no one stands alone and all are part of the community.

Daniel Kline
Worship Minister Daniel is graciously gifted by God in music and drama. He studied music at Butler County Community College in PA. Beginning in childhood, he has been a soloist, choir member, actor, and instrumentalist and has been directing choirs since his teen years. Dan has served as Music & Worship Director at Poplar Springs Church of Christ in King, NC and interim at First Christian Church of Tarpon Springs, FL. Dan and Deanna love being married and having three boys- Tyler, Nathan, and Stephen. |

Danny Farris
Youth Minister Danny graduated from Johnson Bible College in Knoxville Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2002. He served as the “College Age Minister” at First Christian in Carmi Illinois. In 2006 Danny moved to Virginia Beach to serve as the Youth Minister here at Kempsville. He currently lives in Virginia Beach with Karie, his wife and their dog Maguire. He loves basketball and found a new hobby in playing tennis with Josh! |

Barb Baines
Office Manager Barbara Baines, Office Manager, is a native of Chesapeake and lives there with her husband Benny and their Pekingese, Buttons. Barb loves reading and making quilts for her family and friends. She enjoys being part of the staff here at Kempsville. |
